Helping Our Children Focus

It's that time of year when our children are heading back into the routine of preschool, school or tertiary study. Holidays often take us out and about in many ways and the child's energy may now need to be brought in to focus.

Whether 5 years old or 15, they will be presented with their own set of learning challenges as the expectations of school are set. It may be that they are in need of developing their attention span and staying focused on tasks for longer periods of time. They may have a medically diagnosed pre-disposition which challenges them to learn and remain focused in the conventional school system. The year ahead may be a step up from the past years with exams and increased study regimens expected of the senior years and in university life.

To enhance the qualities of focus and attention and meet the mental aspects of life we can proactively support with a blend of First Light flower essences.

No. 9 Koru is a beautiful essence that supports a child's schooling and study years. It will assist them to embrace concentration and understanding. It supports the mind to bring focus to tasks, enhances the learning capacity and helps the child to know their mental strengths.

If focus on learning and study is important to your child at this time you may also choose the two other Gemini essences of the flower family: No. 7 Mountain Parahebe and No. 8 Matata. When used together, these three flowers will provide a solid foundation for healthy harmonious expression of the mental realm. Together they can support all types of learners, assisting them to meet the variety of learning experiences being presented.

Matata is very useful for children who have experienced learning disruptions, as well as those who are gifted or whose educational needs are not being met by conventional forms of learning. Matata helps in the development of a healthy fascination with learning. Mountain Parahebe assists the child to focus, particularly through intense mental situations.

No. 63 Karamu of the plant family of essences will assist the soul to grow and express the qualities of focused intent, concentration and belief in ones abilities. Karamu helps the child to focus their attention and to bring about an objective.

Alternatively you may choose to utilise the First Light Life Management Combination Essence Exam and Study Support©. It is a magical blend of essences that I have found to be very beneficial and versatile in supporting and transforming the relationship of many types of learners to one of a healthy, focused relationship with the mental realm and all its endeavours.
